WHO WE ARE

Love God   |   Love People

We’re glad you’ve chosen to find out more about Fivestones Church!

OUR BEGINNING
We started in March 2011 after Pastor Ryan Smith returned from a trip to the Midwest with a simple vision and mandate for the ministry. We assembled in a small fire station in Cherokee County with 5 families and a simple word from God. While much has changed through the  years, the heart and mission of this ministry is the same. We've outgrown buildings, expanded our reach and opened new ministries, but we've never outgrown God’s mission for us: to impact the world with the love and message of Jesus Christ. After years of utilizing leased warehouse space, it was in late 2017 that we moved into our new home on Sixes Road in Holly Spings, Georgia.  Our new facility has allowed us to be under one roof for the first time.  With room for our student ministries, nurseries, Bible College, offices and with our 1,000 seat auditiorium, we are prepared for the next season of ministry.

OUR UNIQUE NAME
Is a direct result of the Holy Spirit speaking to our Apostle | Pastor. While many churches seek names that the community can relate to, God directed him to a name that daily reminds us of our commitment to five New Testament values found in Acts 2: 42-47. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

OUR FIVE STONES (DNA)
  • Worship: Distinctiveness, Freedom, Arts, Safe Environment of Expression.
  • Fellowship: People and Relationships. A heart for God and a heart for people.
  • Discipleship: Spiritual Development, Leadership Development and Next Generation Development
  • Outreach: Purposeful, Strategic, Relational, Changed Lives. We value people taking the next step.
  • Miracles: God’s Word demonstrated by His Power and Sovereignty.

OUR PURPOSE
Our purpose is to lead every person of Fivestones Church to whole heartedly LOVE GOD with full devotion and LOVE PEOPLE with uncommon fervor. We’re convinced that an intentional response to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) and the Great Commandment (Mark 12:30-31) is the heart of God. So we aspire to be a church that fulfills the Great Commission by embracing the Great Commandment.

LOVE GOD   +   LOVE PEOPLE
OUR CORE VALUES  (guide our actions)

  • SHARED FAITH- We are faith-filled, big-thinking, all-in, risk takers. We will NEVER insult God with safe living and small thinking.

  • SHARED MISSION– We are not only spiritual consumers; we are spiritual contributors. The church does not exist for us but we are the church and we exist for the world.

  • SHARED RESPONSIBILITY– We will lead the way with absurd generosity because we truly believe that it is more blessed to give than to receive.

  • SHARED BURDEN – We will do anything short of sin to reach people who don’t know Christ; and to reach people no one else is reaching. We will do things no one else is doing. People matter to God and they matter to us!

WE SHARE THESE FIVE ESSENTIAL CONVICTIONS

  • The Bible is the Word of God.
2 Timothy 3:16 (NLT) - All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.

  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
John 14:6 - Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

  •  You Must be Born Again.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (TLB) - When someone becomes a Christian, he becomes a brand new person inside. He is not the same anymore. A new life has begun! John 3:1-6 - There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. He came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher who has come from God. For no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly I say to you, unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly I say to you, unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

  • Believers Will Desire to be Spirit-Filled and Holy Spirit-Led.
Acts 1:8 - But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. Acts 2:1-13 - When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like a mighty rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. There appeared to them tongues as of fire, being distributed and resting on each of them, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to speak.

  • Believers Should Share Their Faith.
Mark 16:15-20 - He said to them, “Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved. But he who does not believe will be condemned. These signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”After the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat at the right hand of God. Then they went forth and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs.
